DSD Exams Preparation courses

The examinations for the German Language Diploma (DSD) of the Conference of Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs are examinations for students in the subject of German as a foreign language who are learning German at German schools abroad. The DSD exams (DSD I and DSD II) are developed by the Central Office for Schools Abroad.

Verbum Novum language school in Mainz offers preparation courses for these exams.

The courses are aimed at targeted preparation for the exam format, which looks like this:

DSD I - German language diploma for young people at level B1

DSD II - German language diploma for young people at level B2-C1


The written part of the examination consists of:

  reading comprehension

  Listening comprehension

written communication

oral part of the exam:

Verbal communication


As part of the course, various model tests are written, listening and reading exercises are carried out, and idioms and the corresponding lexis for "star topics" are learned.
